Servotel will bring 10 hotel chains to Turkey in 2012

Properties

One of the leading real estate development consultancy companies in the world with the latest success of bringing in Mandarin Oriental Group with a project in Bodrum, Servotel Corporation promises to bring 10 more hotel brands to Turkey, on the company's 25th anniversary.

According to the founding president of Servotel Corporation Öner İsvan, some of those brands will be opening their first operations in Europe or Mediterranean basin, in Turkey. Reminding the fact that Turkey is the 7th largest touristic destination in the world Ömer İsvan added: "The most important brands of the global sector have realized that the growing potential cannot be met with merely mass tourism and an ‘all inclusive' profile.... Therefore they are looking for opportunities to enter the Turkish market. We are in close contact with at least 30 hotel brands who are looking for the right project and the right investor and they rely on our project analyses and suggestions."

İsvan underlined that Turkey will continue to be one of the leading destinations not only because of her natural and historical riches but also the increase in the supply of cultural activities, art, events, gastronomy, entertainment and shopping:

"If the geopolitical environment won't be so much different than it was in 2011, I am expecting an increase of at least double the world average in terms of number of incoming tourists and revenues in the coming years. New hotel brands will help maintaining this upward trend. For the past few years Servotel has been offering consulting services in Turkey, East Europe and Middle East to international groups like Mandarin Oriental, Sheraton, Hilton, W, Four Seasons, Intercontinental, Wyndham, Fairmont, Accor, Marriott and Raffles and Turkish ventures like Divan on project basis. Every day a new brand will be added to this list. This is a very positive indication and should be considered as the start of a whole new line of services to diverse target groups along with mass tourism that Turkey has been heavily relying on since 1980s."

COMPANIES ARE INTERESTED IN THESE CITIES
According to İsvan, the luxury brands who are interested in Turkey and target a high profile segment mainly prefer İstanbul and the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts while five star and lower segments prefer primarily İstanbul, Ankara and İzmir together with some 14 other cities including Malatya, Urfa, Antep, Antalya, Kayseri, Adana, Bursa, Mardin, Denizli, Trabzon and Eskişehir. Adding that this map was merely a reaction to the already existing demand, İsvan pointed out that there were a lot of alternative places in Turkey which are not included in the current map but hold the potential to transform into attractive destinations as long as the right projects are implemented.
